During this economy, the success of a booming mom and pop shop is good news for everyone. And you can bet that we here at Sweet Surrender Cupcake & Cookie Café will celebrate our bakery’s one-year anniversary with a batch of freshly baked cupcakes!
During the last year, we sold an incredible 71,500 cupcakes and rallied the support of customers and the community by offering a place to escape and enjoy a classic indulgence. Life can be overwhelming at times, but taking a break for something delicious can change your day—at least for a little while.
On Saturday, June 19, from 2-6 p.m., the Sweet Surrender Grand Anniversary Celebration will offer a sampling of true culinary heaven, along with fun for the whole family:
- Free Sample at the Door – assorted cupcake variety (red velvet, chocolate chip, carrot, apple cinnamon, coconut, vanilla and more)
- $5-$10 Off – discount on half-dozen or dozen large cupcakes
- Cupcake Recipe Contest – from now until June 13, patrons may submit their own cupcake recipe. We will select the top two recipes and bake them for guests to taste and vote on during the anniversary celebration. The winning recipe will become part of Sweet Surrender’s permanent menu, and the creator will receive 10 percent of its first month’s sales.
- Raffle for a Cause – two $25 Sweet Surrender gift cards are up for grabs, with all proceeds benefiting Take Stock in Children, a mentoring/scholarship program helping at-risk youths. Purchase raffle tickets (one for $1, 10 for $5 or 25 for $10) in advance or at the event.
This first year in business has been a huge success for us. We are very grateful for our regular customers who have helped us take off and our future customers who will help us grow. We hope to see you at our celebration – it’s sure to be a great time!
